Things We Are To Remember

Things We Are To Remember

We have been so damaged by joining the rebellion of the fallen angels, and the fall of man, and the consequences of sin, that unless we make special efforts, we forget what is true. How quickly the majority of the jewish people forgot the lord’s commands when moses went up on mount sinai and what disastrous results followed! The word of god helps us by encouraging us to remember what is true.

Rembering God Himself

Remember the lord your god (deuteronomy 8:18).

Remember your creator in the days of your youth (ecclesiastes 12:1).

O lord, i remember your name in the night (psalm 119:55).

O lord our god, may we constantly be aware of you and who you are! You are the self-existent, eternal, infinite, all-present, all-powerful, all-knowing, unchanging creator! You are the supreme person with mind, emotion and will. You are loving, gracious, merciful, righteous, good, holy, faithful and true! May we never forget you and the great things you have done, are doing and will do for us!
Remembering Messiah And His Resurrection

Remember yeshua the messiah, risen from the dead (2 timothy 2:8).

God and father of yeshua the messiah, may we always be aware that messiah has risen from the dead, is alive and at your right hand; that he is interceding for us and helping us by means of his position, power and eternal life! May we be transformed by our knowledge of this reality, and enabled to live holy lives that are pleasing to you! May we experience the same kind of resurrection power in our own lives that enabled messiah to rise from the dead! May we be continually aware that because he lives, we will live – forever!

Remembering God’s Word

Remember the words spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the lord and savior spoken by the lord’s representatives sent to you (2 peter 3:2)

God of truth, thank you for your divinely inspired word! Your word is true! May we constantly treasure it, think about it, observe it and teach it to others. May we look intently into your word – not forgetting what we have read but practicing it so that we will be blessed in all that we do.

Remembering The Failures  Of The Past

Remember, do not forget, how you provoked the lord your god to wrath in the wilderness (deuteronomy 9:7).

Merciful god and just judge, help us remember the provocation of the unbelieving majority of that generation that experienced the exodus from egypt and saw great miracles, but were not loyal to you. Help us learn from their mistakes. May we never provoke you. May we be loyal to you and please you! May we never take you, or our salvation, for granted!

Remembering Lot’s Wife

Remember lot’s wife (luke 17:32).

Righteous and holy god and father of our lord and savior, yeshua the messiah and our god and father too, after we come to know you and your son, and you save us from our sins, may we not turn back to our former sodoms and gomorrahs with longing in our hearts. May we abandon them and resolutely follow the path of righteousness and holiness that leads to you and the gates of heaven!

You are kadosh, kadosh, kadosh – infinitely holy and pure and separate from all evil, and you want us to be like you are. So, if we do yield to temptation, please give us the grace to turn away from our sin and return to you and live holy lives that are pleasing to you. Help us be close to you so that we can enjoy you, and you can enjoy us!

Remembering The Sabbath

Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy (exodus 20:8).

Lord of the sabbath, we acknowledge that the sabbath is a sign between you and the children of israel forever, because in six days you made the heavens and the earth and on the seventh day you rested. Help us remember that the sabbath reminds us that you are the creator of all things, and that you saved israel from egyptian slavery, and that messiah is the lord of the sabbath who gives spiritual rest to all who are loyal to him. May we remember that messiah will return and bring rest to the world. Thank you for the hope of eternal rest with you in the new jerusalem!

Remembering God’s Covenant Promise Of The Land Of Israel

Remember his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, the covenant which he made with abraham, and his oath to isaac! He also confirmed it to jacob for a statute, to israel as an everlasting covenant, saying, “to you i will give the land of canaan as the portion of your inheritance”  (1 chronicles 16:15-18).

Help us, faithful god, remember your covenant to give the land of israel to the people of israel! May you fulfill that covenant by restoring the jewish people to yourself by revealing that yeshua is the messiah! Please enable us to work and pray to see this accomplished!

Remembering Persecuted Christians And Messianic Jews

Remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering (hebrews 13:3).

Great god of heaven, help us remember our christian and messianic jewish brothers and sisters throughout the world who are suffering for you and for our most holy faith. Help us identify with them, stand with them, support them and pray for them.

Remembering That We May Have To Suffer

Remember what i told you: “a servant is not greater than his master.” If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also (john 15:20).

Heavenly father, help us remember that we are in the world but not of this world; that we are not to seek the world’s approval, but identify with the rejected one and declare his message of salvation to a godless world. May we forsake popularity and acceptance by the majority and be willing to go outside the camp, experiencing the same rejection that messiah experienced.

May The Son Of God Remember Us!

Yeshua, remember me when you come into your kingdom (luke 23:42)!

O lord our god, we have been remembering the things you asked us to remember. As the repentant thief on the cross asked king messiah to remember him, we ask you to remember us, so that we will experience salvation and eternal life and receive a great inheritance in your kingdom!

Blessed are you, o lord our god, who helps us remember constant truth, so that we do not get caught up in vanities of the moment and indulge in trivial things that do not profit or save!
