I
would suggest that Sabbath morning hours are the
most important hours of the week for us. It is
when we meet to get closer to God, build ourselves
up in our most holy Faith, and encourage one another.
We should give this time special respect. I encourage
you to not stay up too late on Friday nights.
Get up on Saturday with plenty of time to prepare
yourself and your family. Set your alarm an hour
earlier if you have to. Anticipate that there
might be bad weather or traffic. Plan on arriving
at 10:15, all “prayed up” and ready
to meet and greet and encourage other people,
and ready to worship the Lord, and hear from His
Word. It is discouraging to the worship team and
the rabbis when you are not there when we start,
and it shows a certain disrespect for God. If
you can make the effort to be on time for work
or school, you can show the same level of respect
for God and His people.
