1 Samuel 3

This week Rabbi Glenn briefly reviewed his approach to the study and the events of 1 Samuel 1:1 – 2:24, then went on to study the rest of chapter two and all of chapter 3. The focus was on the dramatically different trajectories of Eli and his sons as contrasted with that of Samuel. They were headed quickly downward morally and spiritually, whereas Samuel was growing in grace. The message was that we need walk reverently, not taking Adonai and His Word and Mission for granted and, like Eli, become complacent (akin to the old wineskins analogy Yeshua used).
